*sparking joy*
It's being hailed as the Marie Kondo effect, tidying up has become a 'thing', (my two children are not yet aware of this 'thing'). Whether its folding your underpants perfectly or organising a cutlery drawer like a surgeon, being organised has never been so cool. This drive to start making our spaces clearer, and cleaner and yet simultaneously encourage our consumption to be less, can only be seen as a positive. Finding or only buying pieces which are really beautiful, which you value or work well is the key to having a less cluttered life.
Sometimes, clearing or organising your life can be overwhelming and stressful, clients often need help to organise their space correctly. A good designer should consider all the requirements, not only providing adequate and considered storage but also help to advise and see where elements of the house work well and where there is room for improvement. When choosing the furnishing and decoration for the house, I personally, like to incorporate any existing pieces which will work, and also source vintage or new pieces that will ultimately work hard and 'spark joy' for years to come.
Remember when clearing out your clutter that what might not work for you any longer could be perfect for another. Utilise the many second hand shops, recycling centres, charity collection or offer pieces to friends and family. One man's clutter is another man's treasure, who knows where your old furniture could be sparking joy in a few years time.

Being outside is good for the soul, no matter if you are practicing yoga on a precipice over a canyon, or are just out tending to your window boxes (I'll take the latter)
Being outside allows us to engage with nature, to feel the changing seasons and to interact with the people and plants that surround us. If you have your own outside space then you are very lucky, and if you need any help to make it reach it's full potential, then maybe we can help.
